Jacob, Nat, Katy, Emma, Danny and Seb were recently successful in their audition for Live Music Now.
For the last 45 years, Live Music Now has been taking live musical performances to those with reduced access, to care homes, schools, hospitals and community settings across the UK.
In preparation for their first schools performances in November, the musicians have taken part in Live Music Now’s training days where they’ve been finding inspiring ways to connect to young and old alike.
They’ll be playing some of the music Chapel Street Ensemble have already performed for audiences in Penzance as well as preparing music specially for Live Music Now audiences.
One of the key things that will be particularly special will be finding ways for audiences to interact directly with the music performed. From thinking about the sounds and music of every day life that might inspire a musical composition to moving or dancing to different parts of a movement, all of the musicians in Chapel Street Ensemble taking part in Live Music Now are delighted to be on the scheme and are really looking forward to sharing their music with more people in West Cornwall.
